Bit of an insight into the first shots.

Hey guys, I thought id give you a bit of a insight into how our production of Nocturnal is going, not a lot though.. don't want to give too much away. The second day of filming gave my group chance to go out in the environment and capture some great shots for the first few clips of the opening. We walked a few miles to a woods not far from Charlie's house. Sav held the camera in her hands all the way there creating the clips to have a thrill affect. We believe this will look great when editing it, we are planning on putting a camera roll audio affect on the clip and when the clip stops and flows onto the next, we are hoping to put a sound affect of the camera cutting out to make it look more thrilling. The editing of the clips should be black and white and gloomy as we want to get a worrying affect out to the audience. We are hoping to shoot some more shots soon, so I will keep you updated if all editing goes well. Thank you bloggers, talk soon. :)

Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment

When being in a open area, there will be many dangers and cautions we will need to look out for to prevent any occurrences before they happen. As we are going through our planning and researching stage of our production; we need to be organised meaning the risk assessment is a big must whilst being in this section of the project. The risk assessment is a structured process of evaluating the potential risks that may be involved in a projected activity or undertaking. This will be very important within this certain production as we are filming a thriller meaning more risks may occur to get the correct effect for the film e.g. some parts of the project will have to be shot in dark as it gives the thriller the right backdrop. Although, in dark conditions, more hazards will occur meaning we will have to be extra cautious. This assessment is a guide to mine and my groups safety meaning it is a very important factor of the researching and planning of the production. Most of the precautions are very dramatic but we needed to be open to all ideas of the risks which could happen to us whilst filming outside and inside for our production.
